Default Interstate Compact Missouri to Nebraska?

I'm not so sure how to go about a prison swap? My fiancee is currently in Missouri but we are looking to swap him with an inmate in Nebraska...

Does anyone have information on prison swaps? Both him and I are new to him being incarcerated and we're not so sure how everything works. =/

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

My son is in Oklahoma and trying to get back to Missouri. I think his packet is in Missouri now, but it is hard to find out anything. In OKLA he had to work through his case worker. The case worker and my son worked together to fill out the papers. It took FOREVER to get something done. The packet went from the caseworker...to the unit manager... to some committee... to the warden... to the prison that handles all the applications. They run it through a couple or so offices. If it clears all this it is sent to the state the inmate wants to transfer to. If the "receiving" state agrees I am not sure what they go through. We had to put up the money to pay for the move before they starting filling out papers in the beginning. We have been working for over 2 1/2 years. It took 2 years to get the first case worker to do anything. I hope this makes some sense. We are just waiting now. Bottom line...ask his case worker/manager. Good luck.

It is a lengthy process so be patient. You can call Interstate Transfer in Jeff.City. Last I was told, they werent approving any new transfers due to budget constraints.

Default Interstate compact

My son is trying to get from Oklahoma to Missouri. All his family is here in MO. It takes 2 days and is expensive for us to visit. He applied on a "compassionate application" because of our age and heath. His packet was completed and both states agreed to the transfer. We have paid the fee for his transfer to Missouri. The problem is that no one in Missouri is cleared to transfer to Ok. They say they will only swap even. Does anyone know of an inmate in MO that wants to transfer to OK? Thanks for any info anyone has.
