Getting ready for parole

my husband has been in prison for 7 mths, he already got clemency and appeal denied

.. noww, the office ladies told him to be gettin ready for parole. i was reading that "for most of the time" parole is denied the first time./..first time?>.,.. how many times does he have?.
the judge gave him 3 yrs, does he needs to wait for the yr in prison to applied for it.
any help would be more than welcome

...
