Can anyone tell me what kind of mail, packages, etc they can get at Ellsworth? I want to surprise my man, so I don't want to ask him if I don't have to. Regular letters & pictures I'm good with, wondering about something special for our upcoming anniversary & his birthday.

hmm, IDK. My fiancee just got there and I sent him a birthday card with pics of me at a water park in a bathing suit and he still hasn't gotten them, as he should have by now. If he doesn't I"m going to call up there and gooo offf. Well, not go off but be highly upset.

From what I've read on the KS DOC site, things are slower when they first get there. How long has it been?

Sorry, I haven't been on in a while. It turns out, I had to put another stamp on it.. That sucks.. IT wasn't long tho.

I know we can send birthday cards, I'm not sure about magazines yet. My Fiance wants some and we gotta figure out how to do that...

U have problably figured out by now that all magazines or books have to come start from the company to the prison. We can't send them to them, we order them and the company sends them to your loved ones. Amazon.com is best place i no. But be prepared cause i ordered one for my brother, a month had went by and he still hadn't recieved it. So i got on line had it tracked, it had been delivered a week after i ordered it and had been setting in shack down 4 3 weeks just becuase they hadnt got round to it yet. I was pissed this may be nothing to them, but it was everything to my brother, he waited everyday 4 that damned book. I called prison the think i made them mad, but he was hurt over it so in return i was hurt worse knowing how bad it hurt him.
