Default Are conjugal visits allowed at the Rawlings Prison?

Are conjugal visits allowed at the Rawlings prison? Does one have to be married to have one? Is it legal to get married by phone prior to the visit? I am on the approved visitor list. Are all visits behind glass? Any help is appreciated.

Hello I had been there a few times and there are not conjugal visits there. I heard you may be able to get married there but not 100% sure on that. you may have a face to face visit depending on if there in trouble or not. well hope that helps you.

No the inmates in Rawlins are not allowed to be married by phone. All marriages there are arrange through Sgt Nue. They perform the marriages about twice a year there. Its a major pain to get all the paper work completed and then approved but it can and does happen all the time.

Unless he is in trouble he is allowed a face to face visit. He will be in the fish tank any where from 2 weeks to 30 days. Closer to 2 weeks. The fish tank is the intake unit which will soon be transferred to the Torrington facility instead of Rawlins. From there he will be assigned a unit or facility. Visiting days will depend on what until he is in. Depending on how busy the facility gets it can take up to 30 days to be approved but most of the time it is much quicker than that provided all required information is submitted the first time with the application.
