Our party is coming up fast. Hope to see you there! You'll for sure know me, the only "old" lady with almost no hair and most likely wearing a pink ball cap that reads "Bald chicks rock!!!!!!

First off I have a question..is there something going on @ OSCI? My honey always calls when he gives me a certain date..which leads me to believe one of two things something is wrong with his stepmother and is using all his phone money for her or they're on lock down @ OSCI...I am hoping to make it to the potluck on the 18...and meet some new friends...hope everyone likes fried chicken cuz that's what I'm gonna bring....Surelyuknowamy(Christi)

You might want to start a new thread, entitled, "Who's coming to the potluck?" because some who are going might not check this thread again. Just a suggestion.

It was not what we would call a success...I was the only one there. Even Fleur had something come up and couldn't make it -

However, the three hours I hung out at the church were a good opportunity to get some reading done, and there were some boy scouts doing something at the church who appreciated the lunch I provided - so all's well that ends well, sort of...

Perhaps we'll talk about doing something around the first of the year. We're not discouraged...from trying it again, the space is great, and we will keep you posted.

I can tell you that you had more fun reading and doing what you were doing than I did. I hate funerals (even when I don't know the person) but unfortunately they are a part of our life. We are for sure going to plan something again.

I know I already expressed this to you but please know that I'm sorry that it didn't turn out!!! Your efforts in the planning of this event were appreciated and I would've loved to have been able to have met you and joined you for a meal. You set a wonderful example for all of us in not allowing this to discourage you from participating in the planning of future events. You have a terrific spirit!!

No worries Christi - we'll try something else either later this year, or early in 2011. Sometimes stuff happens...
