Another Judicial Thread!

I know the basic background of judicials, but i was simply wondering if anybody with experience of judicials has an opinion on this! i have a friend who has served four years on a five year sentence and his max out is in october 2011. on october 19 his judicial was filed. still no word back yet. last year he did attempt to file for judicial, but was denied because he hadn't served his four years yet, and he got that word back in less than 30 days. so i'm thinking maybe his chances are looking better because theres been no word back yet? he is in for a first degree felony, hasn't been in any trouble, and has completed plenty of programs. he also has had letters from family sent to the judge, and a letter from an employer saying he is willing to hire him upon his release. (not sure if anybody is county specific but its through hancock county) .. any opinions? just getting a little anxious, thats all! oh, and he did file it pro se..
