Question Release Questions

1) My man is doing flat time, but has community supervision for 27months isnt that the same as parole, and how can that be when he is doing a flat ssentence? If he were to violate then what they would just send him back on his remaining parole time?

2) How can he go about Paroling to another state?

Any help would be better than any, as I dont know who to even ask.

That is strange- maybe his sentencing papers said something different? It happens all the time. In that case, before you contact the ADC and the courts, would you rather he came home early or stayed in there and with no parole..and yes, there is a possibility of being sent back if he violates.

Personally, 27 months is a long time to be in prison, especially if its your choice.

Community Supervision for any amount of time can be ordered by the judge from whatI understand.
In most cases though they let you out at 85% of your sentence (this is not "good time") and have to do 15% of your sentence in the community (community supervision). This is how guys can end up doing 115% of their sentence if they do not follow the "rules".

Community supervision is not parole (the ADC makes this very clear because we no longer have "parole") it is only a continuation of your sentence but now in the community.

I do not know how interstate contracts work with community supervision. I know in order to leave the state on community supervision you have to have written permission.
