Default Question about envelopes for mail?

Can I use larger envelopes to send things in rather than the regular white envelopes? I know its a silly question but you never know what the "rules" are there. I just want to use a manila envelope so i dont have to fold the papers over bc there are alot and won't fit in a white envelope.

i've sent things to GYCF in the priority flat rate envelopes and manilla envelopes (take the metal piece off) before.

I send my guy crossword puzzles and word searches. I just take them out of the book first. Every prison is different though, and getting an up to date answer from prison staff can be difficult. I'd ask your loved one to ask the other inmates what they are or are not getting in the mail.

once a month i would send him print outs of trivia, silly facts, sudoku, cross words, brain teasers, and other puzzles from puzzles.com. i'd send 40-70 pages at a time. he never had problems. the only time i had a problem sending crosswords was every so often when i sent the one out of the newpaper. sometimes they got rejected, sometimes they didnt.

I had other newspaper articles rejected...a CO told my son it's because of the ink in the newsprint and I should photocopy the article and it would get through.

Oh okay...thank you. I dnt kno why they told me that I couldn't send them then and I had to order a crossword book and send it to him from the publisher. I hate how NOONE at this place knows what they are talking about, you can never get a straight answer about anything!!! I CAN"T STAND IT ANYMORE!! UGHHH

Yeah, they pretty much are clueless for the most part. Especially the social work dept! They are the absolute worst! I send Hubby crosswords & word finds directly from Amazon.com, that way I know they never get rejected! I also send the big mamilla envelopes also.

All you have to do is call the facility and they will give you his state id but like love said only the sbi number is all you need.
