Catch a tiger by its tail......

This phrase has taken on a new meaning for me..haha. I can laugh now. The beginning of this week I had an appointment for six of my cats to get their shots at the vets. I had gotten 4 of them into their crates with no problem but 2 of the less social ones wanted no part of that when they heard all the commotion of the others crying to get out.
Well, I shut the door to the sunroom so they would have less chance of escape for me to catch them and one of them as I was trying to desperately catch him so we wouldn't be late for our appointment ran around and around and at one time I grabbed him by his tail by putting my foot down, grabbed his neck and he laid his saber tooth into me and it went all the way down between my index and middle finger...OUCH!!! Needless to say I quickly let go and decided to abort my mission, cleaned it off and proceeded to myappointment with the others.
Well, long story short, I ended up going to the doctors, put on an antibiotic as it had swelled up and then when my whole hand swelled up they admitted to the hospital to be put on an intravenous antibiotic.......for 2 DAYS!!! Geesh.....all over a cat bite. The redness had started to go up my arm. The doctor said keep it up unless I want to have something like a stint put in to help it drain......I was a very good patient and kept it up as the swelling had come down some the very next day. In fact it came down just as fast as it swelled up with the IV stuff.

All to say......don't EVER grab a tiger by its tail. You will lose everytime.
