Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Well 'm am new here so I hope this works. My husband was transfered from Grayson county jail last night around 3am. I am so thankful I got to tell him goodnight and that I loved him before he left. He is being transfered to Safp..Not sure where. If I call the unit I beleive he will tranfered too, I wonder if they could tell me if he's there since I don't know his TDCJ number yet? I believe he will be transferred to johnson unit in winnsboro (80% of people from grayson county are transfered there).I'm so worried about him. They come pick him u on a day where the roads are icey. Does anyone know if they will get any visitation before their first 30days is up? Does it depend on the person or what? I've also read that they dont get commisary the first 30days, does anyone know if this is true and if it is will be get hygine stuff and writing materials? I'm just so lost in all this. Keaton has never been in trouble before and I have never had to do all this stuff. We've been together since we were 14 and we are 25 now. This is the first time we have ever been apart. So much anxiety! I'm sorry that this sounds like a bunch of thoughts. That just how my brain is responding right now. Any information on Johnson unit would be appreciated!! Thanks.

They can't tell you if he's there or not because safp is a treatment facility and hippa rules apply. I don't even know if safp has phones cause a lot of treatment facilities discourage focus on the outside world. He will write you though. Just be patient, I know it's hard. Try looking up his info on tdcj, it takes a couple of days to post but might be a day sooner than when you get his letter....

hey my brother has been there 23 days and he got a visit the first weekend he got there.. its not to bad of a place, they just have to mind. they have a lot of classes and they get to send 5 letters a week but you can send how many you want. you can take 20 dollars in change to buy food and drinks for him.. and if you get there at 8am you can do family edu. and then you get a 4 hour visit that day and after 10 times of going to the family edu you get a extra 2 hours.

go to the TDJC website and type his name in it will give you his info, then call winnsboro and give them his number... ask if your on his visit list... and they do have phones but you have to have a home line and its 60 dollars a month for 160 min. but he cant call for the first 28 days
