Default How do you store your purses?

I am in the middle of spring cleaning and closet re-organization and have come to a dilemma. I currently have all of my purses (100+) in these plastic storage bins or in these plastic vacuum bags but plastic is not the best thing for leather so now I am looking for alternatives. I am sure someone else has the perfect solution! Open to hearing how everyone else is doing this. Thanks!

Hello. Well I am a Purse whore I know it sounds bad but my entire life is consumed by my prisoner, makeup, shoes and purses! My suggestion is to get dust covers for all your bags then put them in a plastic storage container and if you are prone to moths then make sure you put the moth balls in there with them.

I did think about that but then I was nervous about the plastic especially with the leather purses, so I found these gadgets online and I bought 4 of them. They are marvelous! They were cheap too! Each loop can hold 1-3 purses depending on thick their straps are. I love them!

Here is the link to buy it if you want one.

My "everyday" bags hang on hooks on the wall of my coat closet.
My "special" bags sit on a closet shelf, filled with crumpled newspaper to prevent them from getting musty and to preserve the shape. (The ink in newsprint does almost as good a job of absorbing odors as activated charcoal)

My 2 incredibly delicate beaded silk bags live laid flat in boxes in a drawer , with a layer of tissue paper inside and another wrapped around each bag,and one of those little silica tab/capsule things in each box.

All of mine are in big plastic totes in the closet but after reading this maybe I better come up with a better way to store them esp the good ones!

Yeah my expensive ones the Louis', Chanels all my collectables are all in there dust bags and have remained in great condition as is. My day to day bags I still put in dust bags that they are sold in when Im done with them except instead of being boxed there in my closet.

I keep my "good ones" in the bags that came with them on the shelf too.

I like your tissue paper in boxes ideas too for those expensive bags.

Thanks!

Wow....That's a LOT of purses. One of my close friends, has a handful and just keeps then in a giant container under her bed. I must say though, purses take up a lot of useless room, ha!
