Default Touring MDOC

It doesn't appear to be "public" news out there and I'm not sure why other than it may not be newsworthy at all or much beyond our world; however, I wanted to let everyone know that Gov. Snyder toured the Cooper St. Corr. Facility Friday, 2/11/11. Not that it will do anything, but I wanted to share the information I had received Thursday afternoon (that he was expected to tour the facility Friday) once it actually took place...

If it was a planned visit and the facility knew he was coming it won't matter.
It will only work if it is an unannounced visit and he shows up without warning to see what is going on.

I know they knew about it on Thursday, but that's the earliest heads up that I'm aware that they had...so 24 hours, maybe.

It was not the governor who toured on Friday. It was one of his staff and the acting director.

Thanks. They (meaning inmates) were told that Gov. Snyder was with them because he was coming to Ann Arbor for the weekend and then to Detroit for a speech on Monday. I'm just glad someone walked through. LOL
