Default Sorry if this is a dumb question...How do you find out what level an inmate is?

ok, i asked this last night and its gone now because of the data loss thing...so if you answered this question already, i am sorry for asking again...but i would still like an answer or any information if possible.

i just want to know if there is any way to find out what security level an inmate is? my loved one is in fulton right now and i was wondering if there is any way to know where he will be transferred to after this. does their security level or whatever factor in to what level prison they will go to? sorry if i worded this really bad...it makes sense in my head but comes out kind of confusing. lol. there is a place that i want him to go after this and its a C-2 prison...and i have no idea if he will be able to go there or not. i dont know...just wondering. any information would be really helpful! thank you very much everyone!

and again, sorry that i am dumb and cant word things right. thanks for putting up with me!

Hi Locheri, I don't want you to think you are being ignored. There is a site you can go to that will tell you what level each prison accepts. I tried to send it to you, but due to data lost, I have to start all over to get 25 posts before I can send you the site. So Sorry. First you need to find out what level he is. He knows and can tell you if he wants to.

The main thing in Security Level is the length of Sentence that is to be served. The things like violence and such are also look at. What type of crime and whether or not he is a threat to anyone or himself. Murder gets a higher level then a DUI. They make that determination at the reception centers. The COs also write reports on the inmates. If they stay out of trouble then the level is dropped and off the go to a lower level camp until finally they go home.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread! But can anyone tell me the difference between ad seg and disciplinary seg? the case worker told me my guy has some minor violations and would be there a "little" while, but wasn't specific about the violations or time. but the weird thing is, he just got out of the hole less than a week before that, so why wouldn't they just have kept him there? I really appreciate any responses! Happy Mother's Day!!!

Default Levels

Assigned levels depend on a number of factors, with 1 being pretty much a model inmate to 5 being given to serious offenders. I believe your friend will be given his level during his time at Diagnostics, and that helps the Center to determine where he will be best served(and society best served) as far as a "camp". I was in Farmington's Social Rehab Unit(SRU),,not to be mistaken for the camp's treatment program, and it's a housing unit for those with mental health issues(providing medications, nurses on hand, etc.),,,,the treatment center was in view from our area,,,we had access to all of the amenities that general population had...library, weights, chapel, next door, indoor and outdoor sports, board games, etc........Farmington is by far a camp that I would recommend...very nice aura....old oak trees, squirrels, largest camp, so large running track, softball, etc......I would not be happy with Moberly, Bonne Terre, and others,,,,,not a pleasant environment in most, if not all, of the others. Algoa is basically for 1 and 2's,,,,,,Farmington, although i was there, i'm not sure, because I knew murderers there in the SRU unit, and I don't know if they were allowed into FCC because of their mental illness factor....seemed like a 1,2, possibly 3 camp,,,,Moberly I think, is 1,2,3,,,,Charleston is a 5, I believe,,,,Licking is a 4, I believe.....if he calls you, he should know his level or be getting it before he leaves Diagnostics.

Try posting under Tipton thread.

I don't know anything about Tipton so can't help any.
Good luck on finding your answers.
