Can I get copies of my probation records?

I need copies of my.probation. records from monroe co from 2009, i am still on probation for the same case but have transferred to my hometown. I had serious issues w my former po, in fact she refused to transfer my probation in april 2009 even though judge approved and ordered it..she did so many illegal, unethical things and i need to review her records to decide how to handle it. I have been told to let it go, but know she does this to others who cant do anything about it. Does anyone know if i can be denied accrss to my probation records? Any info would be great, she has no right to break the law in attempt to catch a probationer breaking the law. Her initials are E.W., anyone who knows her can verify

You'll be able to access your case work, but probation records are not publicly available.

Things you will have access to are:

- the paperwork filed to violate you. Said paperwork should include the reason for filing and the date filed.
- PSI findings.
- If there was a case generated in order to violate you, you'll have access to that documentation as well.

You'll need to go to the Monroe County Courthouse to obtain copies of them. It might be best to phone ahead and let them know what you are looking for incase the files have been archived. They are allowed to charge you a fee for copying all the paperwork.

Be careful, probation transfers are tricky. One county cannot tell another county what to do. If the judge ordered a transfer there was nothing that she could do, however the county you would transfer to could deny the transfer. I've seen that happen many times and "who" denied what and when or why is not recorded anywhere. Just "transfer denied".
