Need help getting into the chat room

i just signed up on this site and ive tried several times to get into the chat room but it keeps tellin me invalid username or password. i dont know whats wrong with it im signed in and the top of the page tells me that im logged in.....i need some help . send me a PM if you can help...much thanks

you need to be a member for 2 weeks and have at least 25 legitimate posts before you can enter chat.

The chat room is just "fluff" and probably the least useful place in all of PTO for getting information or for connecting with other people.
It’s fun, but it is NOT what PTO is all about.

In order to use the chat room, you must have at least 25 posts AND you need to have been a member for 2 weeks or more. Sometimes the system takes a few hours to recognize that you've become eligible for the chat room, so please be patient.
In the meanwhile, there are thousands of discussions you can participate in on the boards, which are the heart of PTO- The chat room is really just icing on the cake.
If you scroll down the Forum Index, you'll surely find a forum that is relevant to your interests and concerns.
Click on the forum title to enter the forum , then click on a thread title to read that thread.
Reply by either typing your reply into the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the thread or by clicking on the "Post Reply" button just above the "Quick Reply" box, then click "Post Reply" when you've finished typing.
To create a new thread, look at the top of the thread list in any forum for a button marked "New Thread", click on that and it will open a window where you can give your thread a title and type up what you want to say or ask.
When you are done, click near the bottom where it says "Submit New Thread" and your thread will be posted.
If you ever have trouble finding a post you made, go to the upper right corner of the screen and click on your name. This will take you to your profile. Then choose "Statistics", in that screen, click on "Find all posts by..." and you'll get a list of all of your posts/threads.
Lastly, for now, if you ever get a message saying that your post or thread has been moved, all you have to do is click on the thread title within that message and you'll go right to the new location of your thread or post.

I am Having the same problem i have no idea what the deal is but it makes it really hard to talk to people huh

Read this thread sweetie. You have to be a member for 2 weeks and have 25 posts before the sytem will allow you into chat. Be patient. However, The bulk of the information,, support and understanding is on the boards, in the forums, not in chat. Chat is just "fun stuff," the dessert, the forums are the meat 'n taters.

Nope. You can't get into chat until you've been a member for 2 weeks AND have 25 posts. That's our way of keeping the trolls and spammers out of chat For Your Protection. Chat is fun, the dessert. However, the forums are where you'll find the information, support and understanding--the meat 'n taters so to speak. Please read as much as you can, post any questions you may have, reply to others' posts and you'll be able to chat before you know it!
