Default Comcor or Prison?

I'm so tired of him asking questions I just cant answer, and the info he gets from inmates is so incomplete that I worry he's just not really being prepared for everything.

My sweethearts lawyer is telling him its Comcor or Prison, period. I guess she's told him that Comcor will be hard for him, that they will make it hard, and that the sentence to Comcor will be longer if he gets that. Prison doesnt exactly sound like a walk in the park either though, and theres that whole possibility of parole/halfway house with it to consider.

So, can anyone tell me the major things he should know before making the choice on which to have his PD ask for? We are (it feels like creeping but...) getting closer to sentencing date quickly and I want to be sure he's as informed as possible.

I can tell you that the DA (at this point) agreed to cap Prison at 4 years, and his PD is swearing he will get all time served (I don't know how she can swear that though) which would give him nearly a year at this point. I havent heard any agreements regarding Comcor, so no idea how long they are offering there if it comes to that.

His new PSI hasnt even been completed at this point, and I am wondering if it will even be done in time for sentencing the way this is going. If not I guess they will push it back again.

He's a non violent offender, no history of running etc, if that makes any difference. He's an addict who has been in recovery for over a year at this point (not jail time, a year street time... plus the jail time... he counts them very differently saying its a lot easier inside than out) and has clean UA's to show it.

Anyway, just figured maybe someone here could help with info. Thanks!
