Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Users with email addresses from yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk and aol.com will no longer be able to use them to create a new account.
We have had a long-standing problems with these mail services and have found that it is almost impossible to send out account activations to new users who have Yahoo or AOL providers.

Please use an alternative email address; hotmail, gmail etc.

I just wanted to introduce myself, my son caught the chain earlier this week and the inmate locater says he’s at Bastrop. If anyone has a loved one at Bastrop I’d love to hear from you.

Jeanzig, so glad you have joined. Unfortunatly our "search" button is not working now or I would be able to send you a link to the Bastrop unit. But do check out the Texas forum and post in the general information thread and I bet someone will tell you something about this particular unit. I am sorry your son is locked up. I have a daughter that just got out about 2 months ago. Please also check out the Parents with Children in Prison forum. It is an awesome site and my personal favorite. Some awesome moms in there that have a child serving anywhere from one year to life. We are here to help and support you. Reach out and let us.

Hi Jean, Welcome to PTO! Here's a link to the Federal Prison forums... Just click on the underlined text and you'll go straight there. I don't see a forum specific to Bastrop, but that's ok. Scroll down the list of "rooms" within the Federal Forums and you'll see plenty of places to post your questions and meet other members with Federal experience. I do hope you'll take a look at the Parents forum! (lisainengland gave you the link.) That's a great group of mamas, there! Take care, hon.

What other cities are near Bastrop Texas? My husband is in West Texas close to Lubbock..
