Default Intro--mama88 from Texas

Hi, im new to this so i hope i can share my story and be able to get as much feedback as possible. I have a bf who recently went to jail for evading arrest. He was already on probation for aggravated robbery and caught that new case for evading arrest...which in other words he violated probation. He already went to court and they gave him 7 years, they were trying to give him 9 but brought it down to 7. He is now being held in Green Bay which is in Fort Worth Tx. I dont know much about the system so i have a few questions.. like for one is he gonna have to serve his full 7 years? and where most likely would he get moved to? NOTE:we are not married but we love eachother very much and i honestly cant see myself with another man. So my next question is am i able to have contact visit if not married? i know you can get married in prison but i personally dont want to.. and it has nothing to do wether if if i love him or not but i want to do things right and have a real wedding out here not in prison which is why im asking if im able to visit?

Welcome to PTO, glad to have you join us. His beloved provided you with some helpful links. In TDCJ you are not able to have contact visits unless you are immediate family members, wife or considered "common law" wife. I know your boyfriend is happy to have your support. Again welcome.

Ok I have a couple of friends who are not married but because their boy friends put them on their list as wife they are allowed contact visits.I wouldnt be able to say if they will change it foe him from friend to wife because they might ask for a marriage certificate to be faxed to the unit. But id you'll are ot married I am sorry but you will bot be able to get the contact visit...Gope things work out for you'll And as for how much of his time he might have to serve it can be half most or all because his original charge was aggrivated and the fact that he broke probation when they gave him chances is goingto play a huge factor. My husband was gevied 2 times already because his case was agg and because he didnt stick to his probation when they gave him the chances. But maybe his parole board at that unit will be more lenient. I hope that it is because I have been waiting for 12 years. My husband was snteced 5-15and has served more than half
