Are inmates in Qld prison allowed porn/x-rated magazines and pictures?

Are Qld inmates allowed to have pornographic/ x-rated magazines and photos? Just curious. Also, if I send my boyfriend in Woodford a kinda sexy photo of me, will he receive it?

Can't definitively state with Qld but I very much doubt it. I certainly wouldn't be sending anything approaching porno pics of yourself to him otherwise you could find yourself up on some off duty corrective service officer's facebook site!

Hehe, thanks Becky! I wasn't going to send him porno pics as such. We have a one year old baby girl, and my bf is a photographer, and he took lots of nude pics of me when I was pregnant with our baby- he LOVED my pregnant body lol! Anyway, he asked me on the phone if i would send him some of the black and white nudes he took of me when I was pregnant... Just wondering if that would be ok? Or would that be considered pornographic? When he was in Arthur Gorrie they let him have the pictures, but not in BCC... so not sure what the go is with Woodford.

Also, in relation to the x-rated mags, I just ask as I heard inmates can buy 'soft' porn mags like People mag, and was just curious.

I guess it just comes down to the question of "how would you feel if you sent them and he never got them and you then had to wonder where they had gotten to?". If you are fine with that then you have nothing to lose - after all if they are having a busy day and you get someone slack they may not even look at them! Perhaps if you wrote on the back of them something like "here's me with your son" then they may take pity on you both and let them through on the basis that they are being sent as "family" shots rather than porn but I reckon you have a slim chance of getting away with it.
