Default What they need for HWH

I would like to know what they mean when they say clear shampoo. Does it mean the bottle has to be clear, not colored, or the shampoo itself. What the heck is alcohol free bar soap. Does the deodorant have to be stick or spray. Does that have to be alcohol free too? this list is driving me crazy. Where does one find a battery operated shaver. I went to walmart and they all have chargers on them. DOC is so annoying. Basically they want you to buy them everything so they don't have to buy it for them, but they make it so hard. They even want you to buy them tolit paper. What a joke they are. The last question is do you just bring this stuff into them in garbage bags or a tub or what. Sorry for all the questions. Just confusing. On a funny note, I asked my son what kind of jeans he wanted meaning baggy, tight, whatever and he told me go to Express and get them. they are 90 dollars. lol. It is so nice that nothing changes. How can you be in prison and still think with the money we send him and the money we put on the phone that we can buy $90 jeans. I want to smack him and DOC.

My son just called me tonight. He is having second thoughts about dropping for HWH. He is thinking he might wait until March and stay where he is for now. That is really good because with the list they have it will take me that long to gather all the stuff he needs and I do not hear anything good about them anyway. I like where he is now in minimum, Ancora, and it is pretty good. I hope that is his decision, but I told him it is his to make.

trosa: I hope he does decide to max out. HWH's are NOT good! And they do set them up to fail!

Good luck!

I have a question. Why does everyone say they set you up for failure. What happens there that causes that?

Not sure why but must be a combination of many things like poor staffing, too little supervision, too much chaos with other people and on and on.

Glad you're happy where he is. My son's psych eval expired before they saw him for the camps and he had to wait so long for another one that by that time he told psych he didn't want to move just max out where he is. So that is what he's doing.

He has three years of parole supervision because of NERA and parole came to check our house recently. I wasn't home but hubby was and I hope he answered all her questions ok. We have a small elderly dog and PO doesn't like dogs but didn't make a big deal out of it. I can't see why our house wouldn't be approved but it's just one more thing I will worry about.

PO gave my husband the info on where son has to report for the first month. I didn't realize it was every day. Silly me....I thought he would have the weekends off. Just more hoops to jump through to get to the prize. He just better jump as high and as long as they tell him to.

HaHa, Tina you are so funny. My son is getting out a few weeks after Christmas and I told him we would do another Christmas when he gets out. So I asked what he would like and he mentioned something fairly expensive. When he saw the surprise on my face he said, " Oh just kidding". But I know he was serious. Then he tried to make me laugh by saying he wants Santa to bring him a job so he can start working right away to pay us back. Hmmmm I want Santa to get him a job also.
