Default Manuel Ortiz, Louisiana

The death sentence of Manuel Ortiz, on death row in Louisiana for 17 years, has been tossed out - unless the state appeals within the next month.
Even though there is strong evidence about him being innocent of the crimes he's been convicted for, as it stands, he would still spend the rest of his life in prison.
