Default Belmont

I am sooo confused, they gave me Richland as my sons parent facility more than three weeks ago. I know he put in to be sent to Grafton which is right across the street from LorCI. No where near Belmont...matter of fact about an hour longer drive than before.

I had a feeling the last two days that something was not right because I had not heard from him.

He can apply for a hardship transfer to get closer to home. It takes a while to be granted. Good Luck.
Let me know what house he gets in.

thecoffeemom...Yes Verytiredmom is right about that. I hear about people getting transfers quite a bit. If you are more than 2 hours via mapquest away, he can apply. Have him get with his caseworker, unit manager, or whatever you call the big kahuna in his housing unit. ASAP

He tried we travel the 300 miles twice a month, sorta thought it would be over with by now but his JR was denied without cause so we are stuck and he said that if we could not make it don't come he loves us but understands. Until my old legs quit working for good I am going to make it, but God help him if he ever ends up in a place like that again he will be on his own.
God Bless

Coffeemom,

I feel your pain, I really do. I don't understand why they won't transfer him due to a hardship. Maybe he shpul;d try ahain and really make it sound extra seriopus? I don't know, I am out of the state and I can't see my husband at all. They won't trander him out of state at all that I know od.

I would try the hardship again. I know that many transfers are on hold right now because of some of the prisons being sold.

Before any transfers he must be there 6 months and NO tickets. Here is the phone number to call for more information. It is the Classification Office 614-752-1102
I called there when my son was first sentenced, the lady was very kind and will give you all the facts. If you don't get far there , here is Central Office 614-752-1159

Good luck and keep the Faith

Make the call. Is is worth a try. They will also look at the age of your car. Dont' give up, having the JR denied, means really trying for the hardship transfer. I know a fellow in Grafton, he says it is MUCH better than Belmont.
