My Name is Val in st clair shores and my loved one is in southern mich corr facility. We were our 1st loves and lost track of each other back in 1977 when he got into trouble and a few years back i found him quite by accident on OTIS and wrote him. We have been in our way back together ever since realizing that all the old feelings are still there and even stronger now. People including my family think i am INSANE but i just know i am HAPPY and feel good about US. and to me that is what is important. i am so glad to have found PTO. i have only been on here a few days and i love it already. to whoever started this wonderful place for us to come to and be together.

Blueeyes I was thew same way!
we were childhood playmates(not sexually )just VERY friendly! We did everythign together till he got into more than I did and then just went on our own neither of us knowing what was going on!Well I was 16 last time I seen hiom he was 17. I don't know how I happened upon OTIS but I am very thankful for it.Granted I tried a relationship with him for almost a year I felt alone and could not bear to cheat on him!!! BUT I have not even looked at all.I think I know where my heart might still be!! So I gues my advise would be follow your heart!!I have a life long friend even if we don't get married! But he knows I love him so much that I don't even want to look any further!And if I did I get scared!!!(not sure why)(love is silly like that)My sis was all for it cuz she knew him but my mom blocked out most of my rebelious years! Following your heart is my best thought! I f I made sense...bad day on top of that time of the month..moods funky....lmao

Hello, I am new to the site. I am from Grayling. My 36 yr old son will be sentenced soon and I already am missing him. I am hoping this site will help me with his appeals as I am told you can't get a court-appointed appelllate atty. I still am in shock, and so is his new wife, over how the jury could have found him guilty in these two trials. He even had a super atty from Lansing come up here to represent him. I mean this guy was good. My son is not guilty. I know. I was there at the one incident when the cops arrested him. All I can think of is the jury could not believe that cops lie.
The first charge was "Interference with a crime report". The accuser wasn't even there to be questioned. Just a video tape. The second was suppose to be R and O but somehow turned into a "Police Officer Assault" charge! It was the one officer who did the assaulting: He punched my son in the face, giving him a concussion! And my son was compliant all the way through. Like I said, I know. I was there.
It was two separate trials. He has not been sentenced on either one yet. There is a motion for a retry on the first one which the judge has not answered. I am assuming on the sentence date 11/10, that he will answer the motion and sentence for both trials at one time. I heard the sentences will be combined, but does that mean a shorter sentencing OR that he will serve one right after the other?? If anyone knows the usual procedure, please let me know.
I did my own appeal years back on a custody case and won the appeal so I am hoping to help my son appeal both cases. There are outright big errors on the first trial. The second one I am not sure of since both his wife and I, his main witnesses, were kept out of the courtroom (sequestered) during the entire proceedings. (Seems funny, the cops could stay in the courtroom who were the one cop's, socalled witnesses/liars). So, I do not know if there was anything "preserved" for an appeal. I will have to ask his atty. I am glad I heard about this site as years ago I had to look up everything myself, the hard way, in books.
