My fiancee has been locked down for seventeen yrs. Its getting really hard with him being gone. I feel like we are falling apart.I don't know what else to do. He is up for a second Parole hearing in May of next year. I haven't been able to see him this is breaking my heart

You are one amazing woman! You have strength and courage in huge amounts. 17 yrs is a long time to stand and a love someone who is locked down. I will pray that everything works out for your family the way that God would want it to. Hope that you get to visit soon.

Why would you think that he has someone else? What did he say to make you think that? You have been his support for 17 yrs and who do you think would stand y him that long other than you? Most people can't do this for that long without serious commitment and that would have to be on both of your parts not just you. Yes it is true that men can find many women willing to write to them and send photos but to really love him and hold him down for that long, probably not.

I would letter him a letter and explain to him how you feel. Tell him what you are thinking and ask him if he is still in this relationship for the long haul. Why guess about it when there is a way to get answers.

You don't drive but can you get someone else you take you at least 4 times a year? Can you connect with the transportation site on PTO to see if they offer a way there? Can you use public transportation to get to him? I would find a way to get to my man at least that many times come hell or high water because I love him. Money is tight and I can't see him as much as I want but I will see him. If I had to save money and not accept as many telephones or buy as many stamps or send as many packages if you do those things to save money for a visit. There is nothing better for me than to be in the arms of my man for those few minutes. I love seeing his eyes and feeling his hands and it is worth it to me to give up Starbuck's or a new pair of shoes that I like and don't need to see him.Just my 1 cent.

I want to see him Im in Oregon he is in Avenal California The problem is I can fly there or train but once I get there its getting to Avenal

My son is at Avenal, I suggest you post on tthe Avenal site. It seems to me there is
some kind of transportation from the bus or train station to the prison. I am not sure
where you would fly into - Frsno? I am sure someone at Avenal will have some suggestions. If he has been locked down -can he have visitors? Or do you just mean he has been locked up for that long? Best wishses to you both. What building is he in?

My husband will be locked up 18 years this dec. I know its hard ,but what keeps mee going is my love for him. When ever it starts getting to me, I think about what he has to go thru. Then I let that be my strength to hold on. We are all they have to keep them sane. If we fall, they break in ways we can't even relate to. My biggest fear is what will happen to him if I leave. Hold on with all your power

BLESS YOUR HEART!your man is so blessed to have you.my beloved has been locked up for 6 years now and it breaks my heart to think about the remaining 15 years. how did you do it if i may ask?

it's hard but my love for him is so strong i know he is coming home one day.... i cry and scream then i think about how beautiful its going to be when he is back in my arms
