Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

I wanted to know if anyone knows how much money can be sent to an inmate and if their DOC # needs to be on it. I'm really new with this so I would really appreciate it if someone can help me answer this.

PS... I meant to put INMATE but i accidentally put patient because I work with patients everyday! xD

I don't think there is a limit on how much when sending money orders, but you could always call up the facility to find out. And yes I would include the inmate number with everything you send. Hope this helps

i know that it always has to be on the envelope, but im just not sure if the number has to be on the money order too. I don't want to have to send the money order without his number and they tell him that he can't cash it. And do you know how long it would normally takes for him to recieve the money after cashing it and everything? I apologize for asking all of these questions, I'm really new to this. i really appreciate your help!
