I'm going to risk cross-posting and say "hello" in this forum, also. I initially posted in the Intro section before I found this area here.

Hello all,
My name is Colby and I'm in Alabama. I'm a gay man whose partner is serving a 20 year sentence in the FBOP and I am trying to find someone who would like to correspond, regularly.
I was fortunate enough to get locked up once myself and learned some of the most valuable lessons to-date; I also met some really great people.
Prison life is hard and serving time without mail, telephone calls, visits, and/or contact with the "free world" just makes that time seem endlessly lonely....
I'm wanting to find a penpal (or several) who would like to get some mail on a regular basis, somebody who wouldn't mind knowing that they haven't been forgotten about and that life still does go on even though things might look bleak.
I've looked through the "Pen Pal" section though got lost in the threads...if someone knows of or has suggestions for anyone wanting a good pen pal, feel free to PM me or direct me towards their thread.

Just to let you know, when you post and want to edit, you have a limited amount of time (I think it's about 15 minutes to a half hour) to make changes. An "Edit" button will appear on the bottom right side of your post, next to the "Reply" and "Thanks" buttons.
