Video Visitation from home computer/smartphone/IPAD

You can now visit your loved ones at Noble, Belmont, OSP, and Southern from the comfort of your home on a computer, smart phone, or IPAD. A new pilot program has just started. Not sure if it will be made available to other facilities in the future.

Heey that's pretty neat! They need to expand this service nationwide. And 25.00 for 30 min video visitation is not that bad either. I paid 25.00 for 15 min CALLS when I was doing business with GTL.

Do you know if the remote video visits count toward the two a month that are allowed?

I wish they would make it nation wide. I live 6 hours away from where my husband is and I haven't seen him in 6 months...=..(

It is nationwide in that you can video visit from anywhere provided you have a computer/smartphone/IPAD. Currently Ohio only offers this capability for inmates at Nobel, Belmont, OSP, and Southern.

wow...now that is what I call technology! Lets hope more of the prisons get them...Marion would be my choice. I haven't seen my baby in a year come December...But, bought my tickets today to see him December 28th!

Yeah I hope you can do it otherwise next November I will have to fly out there just to have smelling salts to put under your nose when you pass out from seeing your husband when he gets home.

Sweets told me a couple of times.....Have her come out here and bring her down to see Mike when you see me....I said I would be happy to. It's just a financial thing for you right now. But if you do ever get a few bucks to travel out this way....you have a place to stay. Everything is on me once you get here.

Awww, that is so sweet. I am trying to save up my money to get Mike home. I have $29! so far. If I buy something for $3.80, I take out $4 in my checkbook and put the other .20 in savings. It adds up quick.

Marla, If you get to see Mike, please let us know. That would be so great. For me, I would rather travel the two hours each way twice a month, but I know that isn't an option for you. I feel so bad that you two don't get to see each other. What is Mike's out date?
A nice young man got out on Thanksgivng Day. What a great day for him and his parents and daughters. Of course, the guys left behind will really miss him.

Mikes out date is NJovember 4th, 2012...... How wonderful for that man to get out on Thanksgiving.
