Default When will they do a home visit??

Tdcj offender search shows release date as Dec. 16 and pick up from Huntsville, but still no home visit from parole. How long before release date will they do home visits?

It seems like most people on here say its sometime within the 2 weeks prior to release so i would imagine anytime now. Maybe there was a delay due to thanksgiving

Time to start making some calls. You could start with his IPO and ask what's going on. They should know why nothing has happened or at least point u in the right direction....

They don't always do a home visit. Sometimes they just drive by and verify that it's a real address. They called me and then they said that someone would jsut drive by the house sometime. BUT that was 5 months before my hubby even got out, they won't release them unless the parole plan has been approved and if they have assigned him a date, then they have already done everything they need to do. They will not issue an out date unless he is all clear.

I agree with Arobertson. It depends on how much/what kind of info the local PO needs. Sometimes it can be a full on inside inspection; sometimes it's just a phone call; and sometimes it's just a drive by. But the potential parolee has to be clear on everything first. Congrats!

Thanks ladies... I was starting to get a little nervous because on the tdcj online offender search it shows a scheduled release date, but when I call the parole hotline they act as if they are waiting on district parole to be certain of the outdate... I'm just so ready for everything to be over... I need my hubby home.
