Default Hard to Adjust?

My husband was sentenced to 7 years in prison and my mother-in-law and I were wondering if it's hard to adjust being out. He has only done 2 years so far but we just wanted to know if there was anything that we could do to help him when he is released. I'm a little worried that it will be too hard not having someone telling what he can and can't do. Any feedback would be appreciated

I was wondering much the same about when my MWI comes home after almost 9 years. The 'Coming Home' forum has some very good insights. I am finding that it is good to keep him involved or at least involve him in things going on at home, ask his opinion about things, give him some control over parts of life at home. I've learned one of the biggest issues they have is that they live a life with pretty much no control or choices. Getting my MWI involved and making choices has really perked him up. I can see the change in his confidence levels.

Hope this helps.
