Hooch - What is it?

Just out of curiosity - What the heck is hooch? Is it a slang word for sex?! What is it, where do they get it, what happens if they are caught having it? Is it common??
I'm not trying to break the law - I'm trying to understand how some ppl still manage to break the law in a PRISON!! Is it a different kind of drug? Is it snuck in liquor?? Is it addictive???

Well there are many ways around the rules and laws on the outside also, when you break them that is why you are no longer on the outside. When you get behind the walls and continue to break rules you get to stay longer, if this is something you want to do then I guess that decision is up to you, you almost always have a choice about what is right and wrong.

Sorry, to have gone off the original question which the answer is as stated above "whiskey" or what the old timers in the south would call "moonshine"

It's also one of the reasons they can only buy so much juice at the commissary at a time. What some do hurts the others who just want to do their time and get out. so when I visit, pretty much all my husband wants is juice. When I asked him why he didn't buy it at the store, he told me because they won't let you buy a lot because of all the idiots who want to break the rules.
