Death Row now at CCI

The first phase of the move of death row inmates happened this morning. The second and final phase of this move will happen tomorrow morning. Because of this and while this is happening, the facility is on lockdown, to include no outgoing phone calls.

So... If anyone is worried because they have not heard from their loved one, this is the reason why. All should be back to normal (for as 'NORMAL' as this scenario ever gets!) by tomorrow afternoon.

Mine is at OSP(not on DR tho). Just curious as to why they are moving them to CCI? Let me guess its going to save them $$ somehow? =/

I heard that by moving them all there, it was a shorter road trip to take them to where they would execute them. So yes, it's all about the money (as usual) - but heaven only knows what they're doing with the savings.

Well I had a letter from my PP, who is on DR in OSP, on December 21st and he was still there so I guess there has been a delay.........

Thats weird cuz my babe told me DR has been cleared out and they have lots and lots beds open. Hmm imma ask him tomorrow when he calls whats up on why anyone would still be there.

They're still moving more there - there was to have been a lockdown for more move-in's yesterday, but it didn't happen. I heard before the end of the week - that's two days so I guess we will see...

Yup cause 2 days ago I asked hubby and he said there is about 4 or 5 that is still there at OSP as of then.
