Default Need Information on Bath

My son is presently in Warkworth and doing ok there. He is keeping busy working and taking courses. He has put in for a transfer to Bath and now I think he is worried on it.
He has asked if I can find out anything on Bath. Is it ok? Is there many jobs? What about schooling? Also if he does get transferred do I have to reapply to visit him?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Just curious, why transfer to bath? They are both medium security, so I see no advantage there. There are some advantages in Bath in that they are in houses there (or they can be, either house or on a range) It is a bit more open I believe. If in a house they can cook for themselves, so a lot more options than the kitchen. Not sure about jobs right now, but he does have the option of working at Corcan. School options should be about the same. No, you wont have to reapply for regular visits, but if you have PFV's you will have to reapply for them.
I think all in all, Bath is a good place to do time. I have heard of guys coming from Warkworth and wanting to go back, because Bath management can be challenging at times, ie hard to get things such as transfer to lower security, but I think it all depends on the PO as well as the guys circumstances
Hope that helps, let me know if further questions. Also, visiting room at Bath, is very nice and bright

Thank you for your comments. I am a little unsure also on the reason he wants to transfer. He maynot even be allowed as they are both Medium. Originally he was to go to Bath and it had a large waiting time so they sent him to Warkworth. He presently is doing some work with Corcan at Warkworth. He also has an amazing PO. I seriously not sure on the advantage of this transfer. I have a feeling the idea of a house is what he is interested in

He'll be allowed, guys transfer from there all the time, and yeah, a house is a big advantage. Often they will transfer so that you are closer to loved ones for visits etc. So, I hope this makes visiting a bit easier for you.
