I don't know what you all think, but personally I'm appalled that he got off so lightly. 10 months in a county jail for three counts of smuggling drugs into prison????

I think sentencing in the US and this includes Michigan is way too long. But that said, this person was in a position of authority over others that are locked up for breaking the law. It is clear that our prisons are not for rehabilitation but for punishment.
I don't know if this was his first offense where they may go lower than normal in sentencing. I think his position of authority should count for extra charges.

Oh my God! Ten months for a twenty year fellony. He better be dying of cancer or something to explain that diversion from the sentencing laws.
