Not sure if something happened?

I am not particularly religious any more, but Saturday night, I was thinking of my friend who is facing going to prison for a long time, and I just felt this huge burden of anguish.

I started crying, and I just said a simple, one sentence prayer for mercy for my friend. I suddenly felt a huge relief and my thoughts had turned from seeing him in prison, to seeing him in a psychiatric facility which is where he needs to be. It was really weird.

The feeling that things are going to work out okay stayed with me all day Sunday. A couple days later now, I do tend to worry a little bit, but not like I was. It's not like I am trying to have faith of some sort, but I just feel some hope he will be okay.

Have you ever had something like that happen?
