Default How long has everyone waited for there loved one to pull chain?

How long has it taken for you loved ones to pull chain? I know it is a waiting process and I know the rules and things but is there anyone that would know when he will be close to getting out ? As in DOC or LARC or anybody? Can anyone share stories? I just need to hear some stories even if no one knows?

They don't tell anyone when they are going to move people. It's a security issue.

When my husband pulled chain from county to LARC, he only waited 9 days. the down side to it was he chose to stay in county for 10 days so we could have a visit... and the 9th day was the first day we could actually visit. So guess what.. I'm up at county before 7am to get my visit and when they FINALLY open, I find out that I'm not allowed to visit because he was leaving that day! (and yes, the woman at the front desk told me "you cannot visit because he is leaving today"). But I do know that OK County is different and that it takes a LOT longer to make it through there. Once he hits the 10th floor, you'll know that you're in the last step before he goes to LARC. Hopefully it will happen soon!!

In Tulsa County, my BIL pulled chains within 2 weeks.
My husband's deal was a little different because he was picked up by the US Marshals, so his was like 10 days.

Lucky- you got lucky with that woman telling you that! She broke a big rule! But they pull them out in Tulsa at like 4am-5am, so maybe he was on his way.

Don't,

I don't mean to upset you but when I worked at Logan County, I saw some men sit for 5+ months before they pulled, a friend of mine waited 12 months to pull to LARC. My honey pulled within 20 days but he caused trouble so that he would. I do not, I repeat I do not suggest that your man cause trouble to get pulled sooner cause it will go into his jacket that he is a trouble maker or it did my honey's anyway and it has been biting him in the butt every since.

Bless your heart sweetie. I know this is really hard for you, but in reality it can take months for county inmates to be transferred to A & R. My youngest son waited 3 1/2 months in Pittsburg County before he finally pulled chain and some wait for much longer than that.

I know when you're young and in love .... ....this isn't an easy thing to do at all but you just have to learn to take it one day at a time or it'll drive ya nuts, hon. I've been tangled up with either jails or prison for a very long time and when it's a loved one locked up it never really gets much easier, but we do eventually learn to pick our battles carefully. Hopefully your love will be moved real soon though!

Thank you Guys so much! Sometimes when I am down these thing always make me feel better ! I am worried is has been transfered cause I have not heard from him! So much for him making sure he called me on my birthday. I am taking my self out to a steak dinner and he will call when I am go I am sure. Not a day goes by that I don't stress I just wish that this wouldn't have happened but then I think that it has only made us stronger we have had alot of things to over come and we have done that I have not got to hug him since July cause of us breaking up, of custody of my kiddo and 3 days before he went to jail in September we decided that we could not live without each other. Then 2 nights later he went back to jail and I had only got to talk to him on the phone and the next time i got to see him was be hind glass ! So you can see why I am ready to get to hold him.

But Thanks everyone!

Well I may have told you already, but my man was in Cleveland county for about 2 weeks I think before he went to LARC, cuz I saw him like twice maybe, and the last time I was on my way to see him, I was leaving town & i had a gut-thought to call & make sure he was still there. But he wasnt! Im glad I called before I got too far down the road & wasted gas! lol But its different for everybody when they get transferred. Some will only take a week, some can take months. Just gotta have patience & stay strong b/c we all know this sh*t aint easy!..Im just wishing he would hurry up & get to a yard, I cant wait to hug him!!!! Although I cant get really close & we cant squeeze each other b/c ill have my big pregnant belly in the way!!!

They had to have already been to LARC and processed and in DOC custody before going to the 10th floor. Hopefully it will happen soon!!

don'twanttowait,
It took my husband almost a year to pull chain to LARC and then after LARC he went to Oklahoma County 10th floor and was there for 10 months before pulling chain to a yard. Good luck! I know, we all know how frustrating the waiting can be. Have you signed up for vinelink?? This service will alert you whenever an imate is being transferred. Again, good luck and keep your chin up and know that you have people here to come and talk to vent to what ever you may need at the moment.

Brownsuga- thanks for the correction! After I posted it, I didn't think that sounded right.

Irshnrse- I did get very lucky. I was afraid he'd be sitting there waiting for me to visit and that when I didn't show, he'd be upset. Come to find out, he didn't pull chain until about 10 am that morning, but they had them lined up and waiting to leave by 8 am. So he knew what was happening. But I was very suprised that the woman told me he was actually leaving. Maybe she took pity on me, lol.

Well I know how scary looking and threatening I am, so I'm sure the only reason she told me was because she absolutely terrified of me!! hahaha... yeah... that's it...

My husband was in County almost a month before he pulled chain to LARC. We live in a really small town though, And the major called me and told me he moved so i could go up there and get his things.

In Johnston County you can wait as long as 8-11 months to pull chain. But on the flip side, I knew of a girl i was in jail with that pulled chain after 2 months. But there's probably a huge difference in the wait time for women vs men. My Hubby has barely been there a month and we've still got a while to go. But he's serving good time for what he gets in there Good luck for you! Hope he pulls chain soon!

My baby is in Tulsa County and he has only been there a month and a half. I hear so many different tales, but he is convinced he is pulling soon. As much as I think it is hopeful thinking more than anything, it would be nice to hear something any first hand knowledge of a time frame

1 week to 9 months.

Most likely 2-5 months to pull chain. They will do his DNA swab when he is getting within a couple weeks usually, but that depends on how the County Jail does things.

And yes, you can get time served in County if approved, but you can't start getting good credits till you get to prison.

My husband was in McClain County for almost 2 months before he pulled chains. I got a text msg from vine link at 8 in the morning last friday saying he had been transfered. They now are saying it will take apprx. 10 to 15 days for him to be proccessed at LARC and then they will send him where ever they decide to send him. I hate the waiting part of it. You wait and waite for them to get to LARC and then once they get there you find yourself still waiting for them to get sent to their destination. It sucks.

My ol man went to OK County on Jan. the 2nd. He signed for 4 on a possession with intent to distribute. He had a 15 suspended in Kay County and also had warrants in Kay and Love county. As far as I know he has not signed for anything on the 10 they are trying to revoke of the 15 but he said he should be going to LARC very soon. How long does it usually take? And why aren't they waiting until he gets the time for the other charges? Or do they not have to do that? It is his first time going to prison and we are clueless.

Once he is at a prison he needs to file a WRIT. The quicker the better that way if they run it concurrent then it will be right from the beginning.
