Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

I have been worrying about my mom's case for the past 22 years. After her 4th time up, she was given the F13-R status. From what I understand, she has to complete a round of treatment, then she's out. So, how does an offender figure out this world we live in after being inside for 22 years? She will be 52 years old when she gets out, so she's no spring chicken. I admit that I haven't looked up much in the way of line class definitions, etc because none of us ever thought this day would come. I have the minutes from the parole review, and the date is March 1, 2012. Whether this date is her release date, or her rehabilitation entry date, it is a week away and I am playing catch up on learning all of these new terms. If anyone can help me sort through this stuff, please pm me. I have been my mom's only resource outside those walls, and the more I can understand, the less she'll have to worry. I'm also assuming that the ball will now be in her court, on completing her pre release classes, and staying straight. All I can say is I'm overwhelmed and not entirely sure what I need to do next. that is great news, congrats but i'm a little confused. i didn't see an FI-13R as a voting option, did you mean FI-3R, thats where shes required to take the changes class and she may have already done it. have you called the release line to see if a release date has been set? 936-291-2106. my husband will be home sometime next month, no exact date yet, after 17 long years and he'll need me to teach him the new world we live in.

I would call the Huntsville Parole number ... March 1 may be her release date. I'd be happy to review the minutes and try to help interpret them. PM me if you'd like help.

Wish I could help, but I myself do not know, but hearing your mother is coming home after 22 years gives me hope. Congratulations to you! Best of Luck!
