Hi my fiance and I are trying to get married I would like some information on getting married in prison how much it may cost how long will it take etc also can he get married while in reception? He may be being moved from the county soon thanks

If he's in county you should do it asap cause from what I heard in prison it could take up to months... every prison has different prices (google it) also the person you hire will be charging you & you will also need a marriage license I think its like $50. My man is in county so everything in total is going to be like $200. The sucky part is that in county you can't even spend time with them, & in prison I think they give you an hr of lonely time* I recommend you to make a couple of calls (: don't let them rip you off either like telling you they could marry you over the phone because that's false... I would definitely post this question as a thread under the facility where he is located. It's likely that there were women who may have been married there and they'll have more information. Also, I'd check the DOC website for whatever state he is in and see if you can find marriage information there...and if not, call the facility. Also ask your guy, he'll be able to ask around or contact the chaplain to get more specific information for you.

Thanks you guys for the info its greatly appreciated but he's being moved from county now so we'll have to get married once he gets to whatever prison I did find out how we could've gotten married in county but thanks ladys

Does anyone know if rings are exchanged ? or what do we get after the process is done ??
