Default BEEVILLE probation/parole input needed!

I have a friend who has just received 10 years probation for felony DWI and a couple of other charges. Hired big $$ lawyer who lead them down the path until today . . . he said he "didn't now how back XX's record was"! First I printed the WHOLE thing out for his brother, and his brother took a front page news store about the arrest to the first lawyer visit. In my opinion if he did NOT know, he's guilty of malpractice! It was his JOB to confirm!

Anyway, he's going to be monitored out of Beeville. I'd appreciate any info anyone can give me about how things are handled there. Here, in Victoria, St. Mary herself wouldn't successfully complete 10 years probation.

(Amused! His mother has $$$. What's that saying about you pissed off the wrong bitch now! She has a lot of influence and land in Victoria, Dewitt, and Goliad counties! She told me she was going on facebook tonight to all her "friends")

Thanks!

So, how did his record figure into things? Was it a record of prior DWI's? Any prior felonies of any stripe make a prison sentence for any subsequent felony almost a sure thing and probation unlikely. Prior felony DWI's would make probation a miracle.
