Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Users with email addresses from yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk and aol.com will no longer be able to use them to create a new account.
We have had a long-standing problems with these mail services and have found that it is almost impossible to send out account activations to new users who have Yahoo or AOL providers.

Please use an alternative email address; hotmail, gmail etc.

I've been aware of my brother's incarceration and pending trial for two months. It took him two months but HE WROTE ME BACK! I am so excited and pleased that he reached out and is allowing me to be a support to him. I cannot fix his problems, but it is a joy to be able to offer counsel and moral support as his sister! It's difficult to describe the level of relief to have contact established again, and to know that he is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances.

It brings me great comfort to know that HE now knows his family still loves him, no matter what. I was astounded to realize HE DID NOT KNOW how much we loved him, but am very glad he now understands.

Just wanted to share...

I am happy for you and your family. This must be a relief to receive a letter from your brother. And you are right, we cannot change a person or fix their problems but we can support them, love them, advise them and assure them that we are there for them. It is a rough ride on both sides but I am glad for you that he now finally realises that he is loved by you and your family. That will give him a lot of strength and lift his spirit.

I am so glad that he can feel the family support! This will mean alot to both of you. The main thing is for you to stay strong as you begin this journey with him. Visit the site often. You will find support and answers to your questions!

It can take quite a while for some inmates to get their mail and then more time for their reply to get mailed.
Some of the delay may not have been his doing.
I am happy you got a reply and that he knows he is loved.That is huge!
