Default Please help need info on Carswell

i am going to request to go to carswell as it will be conveniant for my husband and family to visit me with my babys cause they live in dallas are far is it from dallas? i know there is alot of postings on her about info but i dont see enough

i would like to know how is the food there

are the other inmate woman mean and rude trouble makers in there?
is there programs that give you time off if you do really good and finish them like bryan? do i have to be educated to have a job in there ( i have no ged or schooling) so will they want me to finish school in there before i can work


i know this may sound stupid but is the beds comfortable? its going to be 6 weeks after i have my baby then i will be going in so i will still be healing up after i have my girl

You can use Mapquest or any other map site and it will show you the distance from your home to the facility. I don't have any answers for your other questions though.

Are you going to camp or medical side? It depends of where you would be. Everyone has a job at camp. Jobs could be lawn work, detailing gov't vehicles, picking up trash or working in the library and such things. There are too many women on the big side for everyone to work all the time.

my moms was on the medical side, she was there for 8 months. She said the beds are not that comfortable. The food is ok but inmates buy food from commissary and cook using the microwave, my mom gained weight while she was there, her roommate was a good cook. She said that you have to work if you are in the camp but you can get out sooner soon times because they have programs you can get into to reduce your time. If you mind your business you should be alright.

Are you going to the prison or the camp? I don't know anything about the prison but the camp I can help you with....let me know
