When was he received into custody? Ha she recently transferred from one area of the State to another? Short sentence or long sentence? Parole violator or first time EVER in TDCJ custody? If a parole violator, what date was the revocation hearing held?

Yes, all of those components are essential to answering the question.

There are occasions where someone is received AFTER their eligibility date and there are also instances where someone has a calculated date that may be several months PRIOR to the date sentence was pronounced.

Excuse my barging in on the OP thread, but I have the same question. I have listed the answers to your questions in red.

Also, just as an FYI to others that are asking this same question:

I was told last week that the Palestine office was under a hiring freeze last year and they fell way far behind in the paperwork process. The freeze was lifted this year and they have hired more help and are currently running about 2 weeks behind now.

I was also thanked for keeping on top of the progress of my guy's file because "sometimes files fall into cracks and may stay there if no one from the outside world is keeping track of it".

The reason I was even investigating it was because my guy has met several other men that have eligible dates after his and they have already been interviewed by IPO and a few even knew when they were going home already and one got a no already.
