Default Inter-county transfer on Post-Release Supervision

How difficult is it to change counties on Post-Release Supervision? I can take my job with me wherever I go, so employment isn't an issue. Currently in Ulster County, looking to maybe transfer to Albany County or one of the five boroughs depending on my girlfriend's job stuff.

Thanks.

If you are staying in NY. should not be too hard. Talk to your PO about it or look at the probabtion/parole manual for procedures.

IF I WANT TO VISIT OR MOVE TO ANOTHER AREA WITHIN NEW YORK STATE, WILL I BE ASSIGNED A NEW PAROLE OFFICER?
Each Parole Officer handles parolees living within the area to which the Parole Officer is assigned. If you wish to move to another area, you must seek permission from your current Parole Officer. He or she will request that the Parole office in the area to which you wish to move investigate your newly proposed program. If the move is approved, your parole supervision will be transferred to a new Parole Officer. If you desire to travel outside the geographic boundaries of the Region (or any geographic boundaries imposed on you by your PO) for a brief visit, you must have a travel permit issued by your Parole Officer. Your current Parole Officer will advise the local Parole office and you can call there if you get into difficulty. However, your parole supervision will not be transferred.

Okay, thanks. I understand the procedure, but sometimes these things in practice are a whole different story. Would love to hear from someone who's been through the process before.
