Hi my name is Kissy and I am new to this forum, my husband has just been transferred to this FCI Gilmer, and he has about 2 more yrs, and I just wanted to find out what kind of hotels are near and is there anymone from the Memphis area on here.

Hey Kissy I'd be glad to help you find some hotels for you to see ur man? I'm actually in WV so it's not hard for me to see my doll which is in St. Mary's Correctional Center but just got transferred 2 days ago to Northern, but I do have a cousin in FCI my dad visit him so if you wanna know so info add me.. I know some things about state prisons but i work mainly for regional jails around here.. so if you like just hit me up and I'll be glad to help you neway I can!!! Carter

Hello everyone I'm new to this fourm I have been on the pennsylvania one because I also had a loved on in sci houtzdale and now I have another loved one who recently got sent to fci beckley in beaver, WV ! (Not the camp) Is there anyone who could tell me about the visits and does anyone know about marriages at this specific federal prison! Well I look foward to reading everyones intros and appreciate the help and taking the to share your stories with me !

Hello I am new to the site. I am still trying to learn about the system. My love has been sentenced 5-10 for second degree robbery one count. He spent almost a year at Southern Regional Jail and they have now transferred him to Eastern Regional Jail awaiting transfer. The judge told him and his attorney to file for a reconsideration after 120 days of his sentencing which was in November. He has never been in trouble ever this is his first time. They said the minimum he will serve is 5 years so I guess my question is....Is there any chance he may get out earlier than the five years?

If his sentence is a 5-10 it means the least amount of time he will serve is 5 years before becoming eligible to see the parole board. Interestingly enough, since WV state inmates receive one day off the back of their sentence (in his case 10 years) for each day he serves, he can also kill his sentence in 5 years without seeing the parole board or being on parole when he is discharged. The only way he can get out earlier than 5 years is if his sentencing judge grants his reconsideration.

Aloha everyone,

I'm a SO wife whose husband is in WV state prison. Looking for other SO wives whose husband is in prison for being a SO. My husband was charged with child porn. Never been in trouble with the law before this is his first felony crime and his last because Im going to make sure he doesnt get in trouble again. This is all new to me so looking for other SO wives to help me understand WV prison system. I live in CA but my heart and love is in WV. I hope to find someone whose in the same boat as me. I hope for him to transfer to CA upon release. I lost friends and family because I married my husband so looking for comfort with other woman whose in the same position of feeling worried about hubby esp him being a sex offender. Thank you.
