The Adelaide Remand Centre is a metropolitan remand facility that can accommodate up to 267 remand and/or sentenced prisoners. The facility accommodates both mainstream and protection prisoners who are transported from the Adelaide Remand Centre to the courts on a daily basis.

The Adelaide Remand Centre provides a range of programs and services for remand prisoners; including crisis intervention and support services, case management, structured recreation, and education.

The Adelaide Remand Centre also manages a video conferencing facility, which allows prisoners to be directly linked (electronically) to the court system.
