The Card Forum Chit Chat ~ April 2012

Hey everyone, We thought it would be a nice idea to have a chit chat thread in the card swap forum We did have one previously in the private forum but we want to involve everybody including our newer CV's

Wow I cant believe its April already and Easter next Sunday I have got all my Easter Cards sent out and I had great fun organising the swap.

I hope we have a month filled with happy chit chat and card swaps

Lisa, you did an "awesome" job on the Easter swap!! I had fun doing all my cards and taking on some late comers as well! All mine were mailed out this past week!
My holiday (Passover) falls on the same weekend as Easter this year! I'll be having family dinner on Saturday night and will get to see ALL my great nieces and nephews!!!! I can't wait!

WOOHOO we have another Jew in the PTO house! Lori, I will think of you as I eat some matza and butter this morning. I'm also packing a matza sandwich on the plane when I fly back home today.

LOL I'm so happy I'm not alone!! This time next week I'll probably having some fried matza for breakfast!!! My sister makes a mean matza brittle for dessert cuz the other ones aren't that great as I'm sure you know!!
They usually have a coupon in my local grocery store circular for a free 5lb case of Matza with a $50 purchase. I hope they have it this week as I'm going food shopping today!!

hey everyone, april is here which is crazy to me, my baby will be 5 this month

I am looking forward to the may swap for love your inmate month that should be posted sometime in april

@alona my friends have LOVED receiving your pics in the swap and I can't thank you enough, you brought a fresh idea to the swaps and I love it

@lori so just to make sure, passover only goes by 1 name right ? Lol

Good Sunday morning everyone!! OMG Shari I completely forgot it was April Fools Day!! Thanks for reminding me...I gotta get someone good today

I'm drinking my coffee because I was up wayyyy past my bedtime last night, but it was definitely worth it! I made almost $300 at the bachlorette party I did last night...woohoo! I have lots to do today, like homework and unpacking boxes so my granny will quit making little sarcastic remarks about it...LOL.

No Shari, Passover is only spelled one way!!! LOL I picked up some matzah today and think I'll make some fried matzah (minus the oil/replaced with PAM so it's still healthy lol) for dinner!

Wow all I did was go to bed and I wake up and we have a new chit chat thread. I think this is a good idea cause now we can talk to others that we normally wouldn't have in the private forum. As I see we already have Alona joining us. Alona you are gonna fit right in there with all us regular chit chatters so don't let us scare you away.

Lori and Alona not sure what you are taking about but I know its Jewish food and it has to be good I take it.

Jessie hope you are having a lot of fun at your visit today with fish.

Mel I agree with you on watching what we all post for now on. So it is back to using just C as his name or my great white shark We don't want shrimp, great white shark, or even fish for that matter being looked up.

See I knew when I said fish in Jessie line it was not right but couldn't remember since I was typing it here and not in the private one to reference back on. but I have it now. You all just got to be careful cause my shark can eat all the others......but there is no need to more worry he is a vegetarian like the sharks in "Finding Nemo".

Lisa, here is a picture of the box of matzah. Basically it's a big cracker as its made from unleavened bread! I'll take a picture of my fried matzah tonight so you can see what the finished product looks like!

Love your inmate month was a swap started because others around this time were pretty quiet, I guess it is whatever you make ... we love and support our inmates whether they are significant others, siblings, children, parents, pen pals .... whom ever you want to show some love too.

Lori thx for the clarification. I'm a little ignorant on the jewish holidays so its nice to learn something new

Mystic have fun unpacking and trying to stay awake. Lol I'm sure granny and ur princess will help to keep you on your toes

Ha I didn't even think about trying to play an april fools joke in here .. lol maybe next year although the day isn't over yet.

My visit with lobster was amazing! We talke a lot over and im so ready to move to lobstertown we have some good plans for our future and beautiful lobster babies we shall have.. Ps you can call me lobsy out here!

Yahoo! 1st day of April and what a way to start it off with an invite for all members.
Well! My son-inlaw finished my tattoo this afternoon and it looks awesome what a talented guy.

Jessie hows things going? You asked me the other day where I was from that it was snowing.
I live in CT. And it was not that much, just enough to cover the ground with a light dusting.

I begin my training on Tuesday for my new job, so wish me luck you guys!
