Whether or not Carty is innocent is not really up to us to decide, but it doesn't take an expert to see that her case was handled with catastrophic incompetence from the start, and many cases have historically been overturned for less. Do we really want to see a woman put to death on those grounds? Unsung in the US, Carty's last hope is pressure on the American Government from the UK, so if you're uncomfortable with the judgement, this is just a little heads-up to make some noise - online or elsewhere - about what could be a tragic mistake.

And info from Reprieve, including a petition can be found here.

My belief exactly. American law is supposed to rest on "due process". Linda Carty has received nothing of the sort.

British television had a documentary about Linda's case this week. I have a link for any one who missed it, but am unsure people outside of the UK will be able to view.

Here is the link: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/t...m_medium=email

There are images in this documentary that may be upsetting to some people. Viewer discretion is advised.

Linda Carty, 53, is days from becoming the first British woman executed in 50 years.
She could receive a date for her lethal injection at any moment after losing her final appeal.
