Default Outpatient Program in lieu of Prison Alcohol Program

Has anyone heard of the possibility of paroling out to enroll in an outpatient program rather than having to take the Alcohol Program in prison? LO is eligible for parole this month, but is on a waiting list for the classes needed. Is it possible we can request he enroll in an outpatient program instead?

Thanks.

Basically what I'm getting out of all this is it is a certain amount of time they want a person to do and if their sentence doesn't do it then they go to treatment. I think an average of 14 months and that includes any credits for county. It is not because they need the treatment but for whatever they get out of holding these guys.
