securus question - what does "Clear" mean?

Hi yall....have a question.. I checked my securus accnt an on the status said : clear.....Wat does dat means? That my phone has been aproved???

It means that you have enough money in your phone account to receive a phone call(s). If you run out of money it will say Blocked.

Securus doesn't approve phone numbers, they are just the service we use. You could setup an account with them even if you weren't waiting for approval from DOC.

But securus can tell you if it has been submitted to them also if u log onto securus it should show an institution name. That's another way to check.

If you speak with a rep to setup your account, you are asked what facility you will be receiving calls from. I don't think that necessarily means anything has been submitted or approved.
