Hi! I was wondering if there was anyone on here who is in oklahoma or has someone in an Oklahoma prison???

My fiancé is in Lawton Correctional. And I want to know if anyone has someone there now or has had someone there???

I miss him so incredibly much and it's so hard, an sometimes I wonder why I wait? We weren't together before he went to prison, we got together after he went to jail. But I love him with all my heart and it's keeping me there, but sometimes I wonder because I don't think my entire family is going to approve. What do I do??

Any advice is great! Even if you aren't from Oklahoma!

My husband was at Lawton before. I hated him being there. I was super excited when he got transferred to minimum.

Where in Oklahoma are you? Hopefully you do not have too far of a drive to see him.

Why did you hate him being there??? How long was he there before he got moved to a minimum? I hate my guy being there too!

And I live in OKC. So it's not that bad of a drive, but still a drive.

Always on lockdown it's a gang banger prison. What nationality is your man?

I have a friend there. My fiance was there twice as was my brother. It sucks. It is violent and corrupt. Not to be harsh just being honest. Hopefully he can stay out of the way and he will be ok. They are lockdown alot it seems and this site is wonderful for information and support good luck

Oh wow! That's insane! My man is white. He looks like Mr. Clean. Tall, white, bald guy! It seems that they aren't always on lock down. I talk to my man at least two or three times a day.

Honesty is what I want. My man doesn't really tell me a lot about the place. I certainly hope that he can stay out of the way and everything will be ok. And yeah this site is amazing. I love it. Until now the only person who I had to talk to about all of this is my mans mom, bec her husband has been in three times and this is her sons second. So ah knows, but I like hearing from people who are currently going through it or have recently gone through it.

Yep for awhile. They are the prison On lockdown the most. But they just split a lot of people. White Black Indian and Mexican and segregated them. They are always fighting and rioting. Just a few months ago people were getting stabbed everyday. Its ridiculous. But since he is white he will have protection at least. Any of those four I said at least he won't be alone. That place is rough find out when he fills out his minimum packet. And lockdown isn't always phone. It's visits and cell lockdown most of the day. I talked to him almost everyday and of the 9 months he was there it was on lockdown over half the time. It was crazy.

Oh wow! At first I thought private prisons were better than other yards but I guess not. Yeah my guy is American Indian. Yeah I know he's got some friends. I also know that he can't stand his cell mate, almost every time we talk he talks about his cell mate and how he can't stand him. And I am so worried that he is gonna get into a fight with him and get locked up but he keeps promising me he is staying strong and trying to keep to himself. But his cell mate has been there 4 almost 5 years and thinks that he is mr bad ass and ruler. It's my husband and your husband always fighting in there causing problems lol (Indians and Mexicans) brats. They all need a good spanking. Hahaa private prisons have better conditions. Better food. AC. Better beds. But I like my husband in his no AC crappy food and shitty beds cuz I know he is safe every night. I don't have to worry as much as I used to.

They are brats, aren't they? Lol. Granted my husband hasn't gotten in any fights there, yet being the the keyword. Hopefully he won't get in any at all.

. Yeah I think I would like my husband to be in shitty beds, no ac, crappy food as long as I knew he was safe every night. I am just so worried about him every day and night. But I know with my love he can hold his strength I just don't want something to happen to him.

Well I talked to my man this morning and I told him I talked to people on here who knew about Lawton correctional. And he confirmed everything that you all have told me. It scares me even more, but I'm glad, I think, but it still scares me!

My precious friend was at LCF for a few years. He said it was rough but due to the many lockdowns he was able to stay out of the way and do his time. He went from there to a minimum and then on to community corrections.. three more months and he'll be home. We've only been together for 2 years and back in contact for three. Friends for 29 years.

He is precious and it is hard, honey. Your love has to be strong to do this. Best of luck and prayers to you and yours.

Well that's good that he was able to stay out of the way and do his time. I am hoping that my man is only at LCF for a couple of months before going to a minimum yard. Oh wow, that is some dedication. That's great for y'all!

. I can tell that it is hard, very hard sometimes. But with strength and faith we are both getting through it. Slowly but surely. And my love is strong, one of te strongest men I know. Yeah, that's the part I am really not looking forward to. Is the leaving part. When you visit your husband how long do you get to visit him for?

He gets 8 hours a week. We split up 4 on Saturday and 5 on Sunday cuz we have kids.

I see! Yeah that would make sense for being a level 4. And so that means when he was at Lawton he was only a level 2. I hope my man levels up soon.

Hello~~ My Finacee just got transfer to Lawton a couple of weeks ago? I'm wondering what visit are like? Also the process of getting into the visiting room someone said they do handprints?? I would love any info anyone has!! Thank you!!
