Have you people had ever other long distance relationships or is this your first one?

I have had only long distance relationships in Finland (max. 500 km) so this is totally new for me And of course the situation is totally different in otherway also.

This is my first long distance relationship like you I agree that this situation is totally new to me. It just blows my mind how interconnected the world has become. We are all from all over the globe n we share this common bond, it's fascinating

My first relationship was with a man in Holland and I thought THAT was far...and he came over every other week! Plus we had skype, MSN and even regular old texts to keep in touch. My MWI situation takes 'long distance' to another level!

I've had a long distance relationship for a while.. I was in Belgium and he lived in Connecticut.. not easy at all.. always back and forth.. ended long time ago.. he still cares about me and we keep in touch but he couldn't live with the distance anymore! But very diff situation ofcorse.. that was a guy whom has never been incarcerated...

The long distance is definetly a hard factor.. but if you seriously love someone.. it'll last!

My baby is in OH as well. Let me tell you how to get a skype phone # its pretty easy :-)

- go to skype.com
- Click "online number"
- select state
- select place the same/ or close to the prison
- choose a phone number from the list
- continue
- select what type of payment you want (3 months or 12 months)


When you did all this you get an email with a confirmation. If you go back to your skype account you see a button "call forwarding" just type in your home phone # or cell phone #.

Last step: add credits on your skype account. I did 10 dollars. It's only for the call forwarding. Everytime the phone rings at home or on your cell there will be taking some small amount ( I think It's around $0.07) from you skype account.

And done! You don't need GTL or any other service anymore. I hope this information is useful for those who wants to save some money. Im from Europe as well so I know things could be very expensive if you have a loved on in the US. But it's all worth it ;-)

Also another tip: if you're looking for an airlineticket search for different days. Flying on tuesday is better to fly at saturday. It could save you up too $100 - 150. Also try to have at least one weekend between the day you leave until the day you come back. Just play a little with the data and you will see that it can save you some money.
